Hello everyone!

Join me in making cupcakes for Biggest Morning Tea event- by Cancer Council.

Photobucket

I'm so *excited*!!! Its my first baking for a cause~~

This event is held every year and it is back celebrating its 16 year. The official date is Thursday 28 May, but we are allowed to host an event any time during May or June.
The aim is to reach $11 million! Money raised during this event will go towards Cancer Council research, prevention, education and support.

Although i will not be able host a morning tea myself but i have offered my services (baking of course!) to bake cupcakes for host/hostesses to serve with their morning tea event. :)

For those of you who don't know much about what Cancer Council do, here is a little summary:-
The Cancer Council's mission is to defeat cancer and they see research as playing a vital role.
Research is the key to finding answers to questions about cancer - what causes cell damage, why cells turn cancerous, how cancer grows and spreads and how we can most effectively attack it.
That is why they work closely with other cancer organizations in Australia to:
  • undertake and fund cancer research
  • prevent and control cancer
  • provide information and support for people affected by cancer
Also here is the link to check them out and ways of how you can help!
Hurry up and put on your apron to have a bake fiesta!

Happy Easter Everyone!

DSC02194, originally uploaded by mysweetheartsbakery.

Hello Peps!

Happy Easter 2009!!!
I didn't make any special stuff this Easter besides the cake pops (i blame my exam for it!) So i decided to use my dog, Chico, as my model for Easter.

*sneaky laughs*

This little boy hated it and tried to shake the ribbon off but i made him "stay".Doesn't he just look like a girl?

Anyways, i will be resuming to my next order after exams.

APRIL
1. Baby boy Christening cake (Kelly)
2. Baby girl Christening cake (Carla)
3. Easter Show cupcakes

MAY
1. 21st Birthday (Frank)
2. Mother day specials
3. Birthday Cake ( Raewyn's daughter)
4. Birthday cupcakes (Anwyn, my baby cousin)

That's it for the next couple of months!
Busy busy in the kitchen~~

xoxoxo
Love Lilia and Chico

Here is my new give away thank you box when you make a purchase with my sweet hearts bakery~!

*puts my thinking cap on*

Chocolate Cake Pops

YAY!
Finally, Tina's cake pop orders are done!
50 nicely wrapped pops are on their way~ *weeeeeeeeeeeee*

These babies are specially for Tina's easter corporate party and these actually took me about 2 days to finalizing everything. Waiting for the pops to dry was the hardest bit.
Knowing me, the very impatient baker, can never wait for a cake to cool let alone wait for chocolate to dry (3 hours!!! ). I tried my very best to ignore the fact that i was waiting for the chocolate coating to dry so i went online, did the laundry, played with Chico , yada yada.... yet i manage to ruin about... 10 pops?
Yea approximately that much wasted from my impatient nature.
I learnt a lesson there. Because i wasted 10 pops, i had to bake another cake and that's why i had to continue the process all over again the next day in order to reach 50 pops. *boo hoo for meeeeeee*

Cake Pops

Hello Monday~!

I tried making cake pops today (again). Last attempt was quite a failure but this time was a big success!! I did make some on a lolli stick but they didn't turn out like Bakerella's spring chicken pops. *criesssss waaaaaaaaaa*
Well.....at least the chocolate mould ones turned out fine :) Here are some pictures of it and hope you enjoy!

Don't they look like little cupcakes?

All cake pops in a row

Baby Blue Teddy Bear

My first ever Christening bears!

I've made teddy bears before but never made a teddy for the purpose of christening (eg: holding and bible and holding a cross) I had to do my research on crosses and bible's looks.  :p
Well, now that they are done, I think they do look alike a bible and cross right right???? *smiles proudly*

Its just a  sudden urge that struck me to make these bears. Or maybe because this afternoon I received made a cake order for Kelly's son's Christening on the 19th April 2009. I do have a week to do it but i thought tonight shall be blue bear's night! I'm so proud that they turn out better than i expected :)
These adorable teddies a the cake topper for a two tier cake. Hehe. Can't wait to start on it.

Oh yes, i promised to make cake pops but there's a slight delay in it due to blue teddies. I WILL make them after my mid-semester exams which is ........(the week after Easter celebrations).......

These are the basic equipment I used.
(Scalpel, balling tool, mini rolling pins, toothpicks, sugar glue and of course fondant!)

And..... not to forget gum!!!

Lindt Lindor

YAY! *does the chicken dance*

This spring, i've got given a box of Lindt Lindor. Not the usual ones, but a very special limited edition........... happy happy joy joy*
MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmm

As what the box would say, it's irresistibly smooth with milk coating and soft white chocolate centre. You know, normally i would avoid milk chocolate at all cost (that's because I'm a loyal fan of white and dark, never never milk) but this time, i've decided to try one. I'm so not regretting that i did! On top of that i love the color on the box. Green. Reminds me of spring~~~ all the flowers, the butterflies and spring dresses. (oh how i LOVE spring dresses) *dreaming*

I just thought i should post the goodness of Lindt Lindor and shhhhhhhhhhhhh.... Im not suppose to have choc cause I'm on this diet regime right now but Hey! a few little heavenly choc ball won't hurt right right????
Please say yes................ *pluh-lease*

The flower prints on the wrapper are so adorable~

I can see my bite mark! :p
